Bhagavad Gita 10.28
आयुधानामहं वज्रं धेनूनामस्मि कामधुक् | प्रजनश्चास्मि कन्दर्पः सर्पाणामस्मि वासुकिः ||
āyudhānām ahaṁ vajraṁ dhenūnām asmi kāmadhuk | prajanaś cāsmi kandarpaḥ sarpāṇām asmi vāsukiḥ ||
Translation
Among weapons I am the thunderbolt. Among cows, Kāmadhenu. I am Kandarpa, the cause of progeny. Among serpents I am Vāsuki.

Four more. The thunderbolt among weapons, the wish-cow among cows, Kandarpa among the causes of generation, Vasuki among serpents. The list deliberately mixes the destructive and the generative. The thunderbolt is the supreme weapon and Kandarpa is the principle of begetting. Both belong to the source. The wish-cow is named not as an ordinary cow but as the original abundance from which giving cattle take their nature. Vasuki, the great snake who served as the churning rope for the nectar, is the chief among serpents. The verse does not soften the catalogue. It includes the weapon as a vibhuti without apology. The listener who wanted only the bright items is being asked one more time to take the source as the source of all kinds and not only of the kinds he prefers.
