Translation
Salutation to you in front and behind. Salutation to you on every side, O all. Of infinite valour, of immeasurable might, you pervade all. Therefore you are all.
Reflection
What conclusion in your life follows from a pervasion you can no longer deny?
Read this verse in its chapter: Chapter Eleven
Salutation in front and behind. Salutation on every side, O all. Of infinite valour, of immeasurable might, you pervade all. Therefore you are all. Sarvam samapnoshi tato asi sarvah. The reasoning is laid out plainly. Because you fill everything, you are everything. The form has no exterior. There is no direction from which a salute is not addressed to it. Namah purastad atha prishthatas te. Salutation in front and from behind. The seer is bowing in every direction at once because no direction is outside the form. The closing identification, tato asi sarvah, therefore you are all, has the structure of a syllogism but the weight of a doxology. Arjuna's praise has reached its widest claim.
