Second condition cluster. Five more practical disciplines. Vivikta-sevi, choosing solitude over crowd. Laghv-ashi, eating light, the body kept agile rather than dulled. Yata-vak-kaya-manasa, the three instruments of action, speech, body, and mind, kept under reins. Dhyana-yoga-para nityam, meditation as the daily axis, not a hobby. Vairagyam samupashrita, dispassion taken as actual refuge, not merely admired from a distance. The conditions are utterly external-looking until you notice each one is also a reordering of the interior. The body and mind shape each other. Reduce input, restrain output, prefer quiet, and the inward field clarifies. Verses 49 to 53 together are the most practical short manual the Gita gives.
