Bhagavad Gita 2.35
भयाद्रणादुपरतं मंस्यन्ते त्वां महारथाः । येषां च त्वं बहुमतो भूत्वा यास्यसि लाघवम् ॥
bhayād raṇād uparataṃ maṃsyante tvāṃ mahā-rathāḥ | yeṣāṃ ca tvaṃ bahu-mato bhūtvā yāsyasi lāghavam ||
Translation
The great chariot-warriors will think you withdrew from the battle out of fear. And among those who held you in high esteem, you will become light.

Where have you been holding weight you would lose by walking off the field?

The specific consequence. The men whose names Arjuna catalogued in Ch 1 as great warriors will believe his refusal was cowardice. Lāghavam yāsyasi. You will go to lightness. The Sanskrit word for losing weight in the eyes of others. The person who is bahu-matas, much-thought-of, becomes the person who is laghu, light. Krishna names the social weight Arjuna stands to lose. Not the worst of consequences in a long life; sometimes the realest of them in the eyes of the people who shaped you.
