Bhagavad Gita 2.72
एषा ब्राह्मी स्थितिः पार्थ नैनां प्राप्य विमुह्यति । स्थित्वास्यामन्तकालेऽपि ब्रह्मनिर्वाणमृच्छति ॥
eṣā brāhmī sthitiḥ pārtha naināṃ prāpya vimuhyati | sthitvāsyām anta-kāle 'pi brahma-nirvāṇam ṛcchati ||
Translation
O son of Pṛthā, this is the state of Brahman. Having attained it, one is not deluded. Standing in it, even at the end-time, one reaches the nirvana of Brahman.

Brāhmī sthitiḥ. The standing in brahman. The chapter's closing image. Naināṃ prāpya vimuhyati. Having reached this, one is not deluded. The state, once reached, does not slip; the slippage that has plagued the seeker fades. Anta-kāle 'pi. Even at the end-time. The state held at the moment of death delivers brahma-nirvāṇam, extinction in brahman, the final shore. The verse rests the entire Sankhya-Yoga chapter on a single quiet promise: stand in this, and the standing carries you across.
