Bhagavad Gita 3.25
सक्ताः कर्मण्यविद्वांसो यथा कुर्वन्ति भारत । कुर्याद्विद्वांस्तथासक्तश्चिकीर्षुर्लोकसङ्ग्रहम् ॥
saktāḥ karmaṇy avidvāṃso yathā kurvanti bhārata | kuryād vidvāṃs tathāsaktaś cikīrṣur loka-saṅgraham ||
Translation
As the ignorant act, attached to action, O descendant of Bharata, so should the wise act, unattached, wishing to maintain the holding together of the world.

Where have you been bringing less because you thought less was the wiser version of more?
Read this verse in its chapter: Chapter Three
The verse is a how-to. Look at how the unwise act, attached, fully invested. Now do the same thing, the same energy, the same engagement, with the attachment dropped. Tathā asakta: like that, unattached. Cikīrṣur loka-saṅgraham, desiring the world's holding-together. Shankara: the outer shape of the work stays identical; the inner operator changes. The verse cuts the most familiar trap of spiritual practice: the half-engaged version of the work that congratulates itself on its detachment. The teaching asks for whole engagement and no clinging at the same time.
