Bhagavad Gita 4.39
श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः । ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्तिमचिरेणाधिगच्छति ॥
śraddhāvāl labhate jñānaṃ tat-paraḥ saṃyatendriyaḥ | jñānaṃ labdhvā parāṃ śāntim acireṇādhigacchati ||
Translation
He who has faith, who is devoted to it, and who has restrained the senses, obtains knowledge; and having obtained knowledge, he speedily attains the highest peace.

Which of the three baselines have you been skipping while waiting for the result?
Read this verse in its chapter: Chapter Four
Three qualifiers. Śraddhāvān, the one with faith. Tat-paraḥ, the one set on it. Saṃyatendriyaḥ, the one whose senses are reined. Acireṇa, soon. The verse names the disposition that makes the receiving possible. None of the three is bargained for; they are baseline. Shankara reads the verse as the bridge from the previous one's kālena, in time, to this one's acireṇa, soon. The time is not unbounded for everyone. The faithful, set, restrained student arrives faster.
