Translation
The whole universe deluded by these forms made of the three qualities does not know me, who am beyond them and inexhaustible.
Reflection
A mood you took as yourself today, what was it actually made of?
Read this verse in its chapter: Chapter Seven
The whole universe is fooled by the three modes. They braid together so seamlessly that almost no one sees through them to what is beyond. The pleasant mood, the agitated push, the dull weight, these are not only feelings. They are the texture of the visible world. The world makes itself visible by their interplay. So long as a man identifies with the play, he does not see the player. He thinks the mood is him, the push is him, the weight is him. Krishna says clearly that He is beyond all three, and that this is why almost no one finds Him directly. What makes the world appear is also what hides Him.
