Bhagavad Gita 8.21
अव्यक्तोऽक्षर इत्युक्तस्तमाहुः परमां गतिम् | यं प्राप्य न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम ||
avyakto'kṣara ity uktas tam āhuḥ paramāṁ gatim | yaṁ prāpya na nivartante tad dhāma paramaṁ mama ||
Translation
That unmanifest, called the indestructible, they have spoken of as the highest goal. Reaching which, they do not return. That is my supreme abode.

What in your practice has begun to point toward what does not return?
Read this verse in its chapter: Chapter Eight
That eternal unmanifest is called the indestructible. The akshara. It is the highest goal, the place from which there is no return. That is His supreme abode. The verse closes the loop with the language used earlier. The akshara named in verse eleven and the supreme abode named here are the same. The seeker who reaches it does not come back to the round of helpless births. He has reached the place the whole cosmology has been pointing toward. Krishna names it His own. The seeker who reaches the indestructible is reaching Him in the form that does not depend on form at all.
