Bhagavad Gita 1.31
निमित्तानि च पश्यामि विपरीतानि केशव । न च श्रेयोऽनुपश्यामि हत्वा स्वजनमाहवे ॥
nimittāni ca paśyāmi viparītāni keśava | na ca śreyo 'nupaśyāmi hatvā sva-janam āhave ||
Translation
And I see adverse omens, O Keshava; nor do I see any good in killing my kinsmen in battle.
Reflection
Where are you reading the signs the way your body wants you to right now?
Read this verse in its chapter: Chapter One
The omens shift first. The body collapses, then the world rearranges to fit the collapse. Viparītāni, reversed, contrary. The signs that were favorable an hour ago are now warnings. A mind under pressure reads the field accordingly: not the field that was, but the field its body now needs. The reading is not wrong. It is partial in a way that feels total.
