Bhagavad Gita 11.46
किरीटिनं गदिनं चक्रहस्तमिच्छामि त्वां द्रष्टुमहं तथैव | तेनैव रूपेण चतुर्भुजेन सहस्रबाहो भव विश्वमूर्ते ||
kirīṭinaṁ gadinaṁ cakra-hastam icchāmi tvāṁ draṣṭum ahaṁ tathaiva | tenaiva rūpeṇa catur-bhujena sahasra-bāho bhava viśva-mūrte ||
Translation
I wish to see you just as before, with the crown, with the mace, with the discus in your hand. Become of that very four-armed form, O thousand-armed one, O universal form.

Kiritinam gadinam chakra-hastam icchami tvam drashtum. The named attributes are Vishnu's. Crown, mace, discus. The four-armed form is the one Arjuna has in his religious imagination as the figure he has worshipped. The address sahasra-baho, thousand-armed, holds the chapter's vision in the same breath as the request to return to the four-armed image. Vishva-murte, universal form, is still being used. The seer is not denying what he has seen. He is asking for the form he can stand inside the rest of his life. The request is precise.
