Bhagavad Gita 18.71
श्रद्धावाननसूयश्च शृणुयादपि यो नरः । सोऽपि मुक्तः शुभाँल्लोकान्प्राप्नुयात्पुण्यकर्मणाम् ॥
śraddhāvān anasūyaś ca śṛṇuyād api yo naraḥ / so 'pi muktaḥ śubhāṃl lokān prāpnuyāt puṇya-karmaṇām
Translation
Even one who only listens, full of faith and free of malice, that one too, released, shall attain the auspicious worlds of the meritorious.
Reflection
Whom in your life might be carried by hearing this with faith and without bitterness?
Read this verse in its chapter: Chapter Eighteen
The most generous verse in the chapter for ordinary seekers. Shraddhavan, with faith, anasuyas cha, without spite, shrinuyad api, even just listens, will reach mukta, released, the shubha lokan, the auspicious worlds of those who have done good. Two conditions only, faith and an unbitter heart. No requirement of comprehension. No requirement of recitation. Just a willingness to listen with trust and without hostility. The Gita opens its doors as wide as it can without becoming meaningless. The casual hearer, repeated through enough lifetimes, is honored. The intentional student is more honored. But even the bystander is included. Notice the deliberate generosity. Most scriptures shrink at the edges; this one expands.
