Chapter 6Verse 30 of 47

Bhagavad Gita 6.30

Translation

I am not lost to him who sees me in all things and sees all things in me; and he too is not lost to me.

Krishna says it as plainly as anything in the chapter. To the man who sees him everywhere, and everything inside him, there is no losing of the connection from either side. The verse is balanced on purpose. The yogi does not vanish into the divine and disappear. He is held. And Krishna does not become invisible to him as the months and years pass. The two stay in sight of each other. This is offered as comfort to the practitioner who fears that the long work will leave him in an empty room with nothing he can call by name. The verse says the room is not empty.

Reflection

What fear about the long path quietens when you hear that you are not lost to the one you are walking toward?
